Tankard Dental is looking for a dedicated and friendly Dental Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will assist our dentists in all aspects of patient care, maintain a clean and organised workspace, and help ensure a comfortable experience for every patient.
While experience is preferred, we're happy to consider a traineeship or a secondary school student with the right attitude and enthusiasm.
We're looking for someone who is well-groomed, organised, a clear communicator, and brings an outgoing, proactive attitude to the role. Some dental knowledge is an advantage, but not essential — full training can be provided for the right candidate.
You'll need to be flexible, have a strong work ethic, and enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during procedures, including handing instruments and suctioning.
Prepare and sterilise dental instruments and equipment.
Maintain accurate patient records and update charts.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Ensure the treatment room is clean, organised, and ready for each patient.
Assist with appointment scheduling and patient inquiries as needed.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Current Working with Children Check and/or police check.
Up-to-date immunisation record.
