Valeo Construction Group is an established commercial builder with over 30 years' experience delivering quality apartment developments across Melbourne.
We are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Painter & Plasterer to join our Warranty Team. This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality workmanship, attention to detail and getting the job done right the first time.
You will work across our completed projects throughout metropolitan Melbourne, carrying out painting, plastering and general rectification works as part of our Warranty and Defects team.
Job Description
This is a full-time position offering 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with consistent working hours of 8.00am – 4.30pm.
You will be responsible for completing warranty and rectification works across residential apartment projects, working both independently and alongside the broader Warranty Team.
Key responsibilities include
Painting and plastering repairs and rectification works
Preparing surfaces and applying a range of paints, coatings and finishes
Completing internal and external painting works to a high standard
Repairing plasterboard, patching, stopping and associated finishing works
Assessing defects and determining the appropriate repair method
Planning and organising your daily workload
Completing works within required timeframes
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and presentation
Working autonomously while also contributing positively to the team
Recording completed works using
Aroflo
– full training will be provided
Travelling to various Valeo projects across metropolitan Melbourne
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a trade-qualified Painter/Plasterer with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, including experience on commercial construction projects.
You will have:
Demonstrated skills and experience in
both painting and plastering
A minimum of 5 years' painting experience
Experience with a broad range of paint types, finishes and applications
Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
A reliable and professional approach
The ability to work to deadlines and complete jobs efficiently
Willingness to learn new systems and processes
A current White Card
Trade references
Your own reliable vehicle is essential, as the role requires travel to various sites across metropolitan Melbourne.
What We Offer
38 hours per week
$90,000 salary + superannuation, or approximately $40 per hour, depending on experience
Vehicle allowance of up to $11,000
