About the role
Are you an experienced midwife who is passionate about education, clinical excellence and supporting others to grow?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Maternity Clinical Educator to join our team and play a key role in supporting the professional development, capability and confidence of our maternity workforce.
This is an exciting opportunity for a midwife who enjoys teaching, mentoring and working alongside staff in the clinical environment.
You will work collaboratively with maternity leaders, educators and clinical teams to ensure our workforce is supported to deliver safe, contemporary, evidence-based and woman-centred care.
As the Maternity Clinical Educator, you will:
Provide education, coaching and clinical support to midwives and maternity staff across the service.
Facilitate education in the clinical environment, supporting staff to translate knowledge into everyday practice.
Support orientation, transition and ongoing professional development of maternity staff.
Identify individual and service-wide learning needs and develop education strategies in response.
Facilitate formal and informal education, including clinical skills, simulation, competency assessment and mandatory education.
Provide mentorship and support to staff, fostering confidence, capability and qualified growth.
Promote evidence-based practice, clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
Work closely with maternity leadership and the broader education team to support service priorities and workforce development.
Encourage a positive learning culture where staff feel supported to ask questions, reflect on practice and develop their skills.




Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and education arising from clinical review, changes in practice and identified areas of risk
