Base salary from $144,991 plus 12% super

About the opportunity
Join Energy Safe Victoria's Finance team and play a key role in supporting the organisation's financial integrity and operational performance.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will work within the Finance, Strategy & Risk Division, contributing to financial governance, compliance, and informed business decision-making.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partnering Manager, you will provide high-quality financial and corporate services that support business performance across the organisation.
This role offers the opportunity to partner with stakeholders, deliver commercial insights, and help maintain the integrity of Energy Safe Victoria's accounting systems, while contributing to areas such as financial management, payroll, property, and fleet operations.

What you'll contribute
Lead and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, including maintenance of the levy model.




Deliver key financial reporting and annual finance initiatives, including budget submissions, corporate planning, and reporting to DEECA.
Partner with leaders across the organisation to provide commercial financial advice and support informed operational and strategic decision-making.
Provide financial analysis and insights to help stakeholders understand performance, manage budgets, and make informed decisions.
Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying emerging risks, opportunities, and business needs.
Build strong relationships across the organisation to understand and meet business needs.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting.
Contribute to financial governance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support broader finance projects and priorities as required.
To be successful, you'll have
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce or Accounting.
Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant.
Experience in a finance business partnering or management accounting role.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analytical skills.
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
A commercial mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience using financial management and accounting systems.
A collaborative approach and commitment to Energy Safe Victoria's values.
