Our global head office and manufacturing plant is located in Melbourne with overseas branch offices and warehousing in the USA, Brazil and Germany.Summary of RoleThe Production Operator is responsible for:Producing of SDI products as per training provided.Following all OH&S; policies and procedures to ensure own safety, the safety of fellow employees and all persons on the worksite e.g., PPE, SOPs, WI/OIsFollowing all SDI employment-related policies and procedures.Ensuring GMP and GDP compliance and instilling a "right-first time" approachContributing towards SDI Strategic Priorities.Contributing towards SDI Strategic Priorities.Conducting work in a secure manner and demonstrating a strong commitment to SDI's values of passion, accountability, respect, teamwork and innovation.Specific ResponsibilitiesEnsures all daily planned jobs is achieved in full by the end of shiftEscalates any delays on time on daily planned jobs to Leading Hand/SupervisorParticipates in basic continuous improvement activitiesOperates, cleans and sets-up machinery/equipmentContributes to the production process encompassing warehousing, dispensary,



manufacturing and/or packingFollows Standard Operating Procedures and work/ operating instructions in an efficient mannerPerforms basic troubleshooting of equipment as trainedPerforms in-process checks and fills-in paperwork to GMP / GDP standardsAssists with writing or updating production-related documents as required e.g., Production Forms, Work Instructions, General Forms, and Standard Operating Procedures.Participates in Safety Risk Assessments of process and equipment as requesteAssists with stocktake, cycle counts and reconciliations.Actively raises any safety-related concerns or hazardsParticipates in production and toolbox meetingsPerforms in-process quality checks according to the relevant production formMaintains enough raw material for their shift and into the next shiftMaintains a clean work area according to the Department Cleaning ChecklistStores approved product in dedicated storage areasInforms Supervisor or Leading Hand of any deviations from standard proceduresFollows LEAN initiativesKey Relationships (internal and external)Department Supervisor, Leading Hand/Team Leader and Department Team MembersQuality Control/ AssuranceWarehouseResearch and Development TeamThe position is located at Bayswater or MontroseWorking hours: 38 per weekProduction/Manufacturing experienceEssential Skills, Knowledge and AttributesPersonal QualitiesHigh level of attention to detailTeam playerAbility to work with limited supervisionGood interpersonal skillsReliability - be punctual and flexible, as there are times when overtime is requiredPositive can-do attitude and excellent work ethicKnowledge and SkillsAware of SDI's current Quality policy and objectivesBasic literacy and numeracyBasic computer literacyLEAN methodologies
