You'll work closely with experienced Embalmers, providing practical support with the care, preparation and presentation of deceased persons.The RoleWorking as part of the mortuary team, you will provide hands‐on support across day‐to‐day mortuary operations, ensuring every deceased person is treated with the highest level of care, dignity and respect.Key responsibilities:Assisting with the preparation, dressing and presentation of deceased personsRetrieving and transferring deceased persons respectfully and professionallySupporting Embalmers and Student Embalmers with day‐to‐day mortuary dutiesAssisting with documentation, paperwork and administration associated with each funeralPreparing clothing and other requirementsMaintaining a clean,



organised and secure mortuaryCompleting manual handling and practical tasksFollowing company procedures and WHS requirementsSupporting changing priorities and workloadsWorking independently while contributing positively to the wider teamAbout YouWe're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and willing to get stuck in.
Previous mortuary experience is highly regarded but not essential— the right attitude and willingness to learn are key.You will ideally have:A respectful, compassionate and professional approachComfort working around deceased persons and within a mortuary environmentStrong attention to detail and the ability to follow proceduresConfidence with manual handling and practical tasksA genuine willingness to learn and developStrong reliability and ability to work independentlyA team‐first attitudeBackgrounds that may be well suited include:aged care, palliative care, nursing, dental nursing, pathology, medical environments, funeral/deathcare or other roles requiring care, discretion and sensitivity.Why Apply?
