You will play a key role in the delivery of the monthly financial results pack, including insightful analysis of the results against the prior month, budget and/or forecastYou will be responsible for the financial calculations required to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies like ATO, SRO, WorkCover, etc.Assisting the business in understanding and proactively managing their budget through the preparation of monthly reportsCommentary against budgeting and forecastingAssisting with managing technical accounting areas, including but not limited to Capital Gain tax, FBT, Payroll tax, Business acquisition and goodwill recognition journals, Loan refinance entries etcYou will be responsible for a number of daily and month-end activities such as posting and reviewing month-end journals, processing payments, preparation of GST/BAS returns and cashflow analysis.The role will include involvement in the year-end and half-year-end audit processYou will be responsible for maintaining solid internal controls,



including the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and raising any identified control weaknessesReview and Finalise lodgements, Financials and tax returnsReview financial reports and tax schedules prepared by intermediate accountants for finalisation.Responsible for daily general ledger and prepare for month/year-end closingAssist in preparing Quarterly management reportsAssist in implementing Finance projects that deliver process efficiency and enhanced control for selective clients.Assist in current systems implementation, Xero third-party app integration and inter-entity reconciliationSKILLS & EXPERIENCE :Preferably have a Minimum of 5- 8 years of experience in a local public accounting practice as an Accountant or Senior AccountantCA/CPA qualified (or near completion) & Experienced expert in Accounting StandardsTax law Skills:Outstanding communicator with a passion for driving change in a scaling environmentBig 4 background/business services background (advantageous)Excellent written and verbal communication skills
