The hospital encompasses 185 beds, 6 operating theatres, 10 bed ICU, with associated rehabilitation, medical and surgical Wards.
Our services include two major medical centres, a dedicated mental health unit, an on-site cancer centre including radiation oncology, radiology practice and pathology laboratory.Maitland Private Hospital is a key facility within the Healthe Care Group.
We are a private healthcare provider of choice, driving innovation and clinical best practice to the services we provide.Your new role as Catering GSO:We are seeking casual General Service Officers who will report directly to the Catering Services Manager.
This pivotal role is responsible for providing positive and efficient food services to our patients and supporting our team of catering service professionals including Chefs,



Dietitians and Speech Pathologists.About you (essential criteria):Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.Previous experience in domestic services/food preparationHospitality focused with a demonstrated commitment to customer service and quality improvementHold or obtain a Food Safety & Hygiene CertificateAbility to work both independently and within a collaborative team environmentAbility to work under pressure, with minimal supervision, prioritise work effectively and meet deadlinesCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacyCommitment to Work Health and Safety and Infection Control principlesFlexibility to work 4 – 8 hour shifts including afternoon/evening (12pm – 8pm) and weekendsStrong collaborative interpersonal skills with well-developed communication skills.Sound computer skills/literacyImmunisation evidence and serology report in accordance with NSW Health.Australian permanent resident status or equivalent work rights required.Previous experience within a hospital environmentCertificate 2 & 3 in Hospitality and/or Dietary Practice CertificateBasic Knowledge of HACCPHealthe Care is an equal opportunity employer.
