In this Brisbane-based prospect, you will play a critical role in developing and reviewing plant rates, maintenance cost estimates, asset strategies and tender submissions that support business growth and operational excellence.Reporting within the Asset Estimating team, you will:Develop and review plant rates and maintenance cost estimates for tendersAnalyse project costs and support monthly performance reviews and benchmarkingComplete asset lifecycle and ownership cost reviews to optimise fleet performanceSupport asset selection decisions for new and existing projectsProvide asset estimating inputs for major tenders, including labour, capital expenditure, mobilisation and cashflow requirementsReview project asset financial results and assist operations with budgeting and forecasting activitiesCollaborate with Operations, Finance, Asset teams, OEMs and suppliers to identify cost‐saving and improvement opportunitiesContribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, systems and processesCoach and support Asset Specialists, Graduates and stakeholders across the business.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have:Trade qualification or tertiary degree in a relevant disciplineExperience in operational, maintenance,



asset management or estimating environmentsStrong commercial and analytical capability with an understanding of asset lifecycle costingAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, with VBA/Macro experience advantageousAbility to interpret operational and financial data to support business decision‐makingExcellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to work across multiple business functionsA proactive and continuous improvement mindset.What's on offerAt Thiess, our people are the heart of everything we do.
