About the role We're looking for an experienced retail leader to join the management team and support the Store Manager in driving the performance of a busy department.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading a team and taking ownership of their department.
You'll balance people leadership with the practical side of retail, including stock management, visual presentation, promotional activity and commercial performance.
You'll be expected to set the standard for your team, keep pace in a high-volume environment and look for opportunities to improve both customer experience and profitability.
What you will do Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store and departmentLead, coach and motivate your team to deliver strong customer service and commercial resultsMonitor sales performance and work towards department KPIsTake ownership of stock flow,
recovery and inventory standardsManage high volumes of stock while maintaining an organised and efficient departmentEnsure visual merchandising standards are consistently maintainedSupport the planning and execution of catalogue campaigns and promotional activityImplement initiatives that improve stock integrity and department profitabilityLead by example and remain actively involved on the shop floorIdentify opportunities to improve processes, performance and customer experienceSupport a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture What you will bring Previous retail leadership or supervisory experienceStrong organisation and time management skillsExperience with visual merchandising and maintaining retail presentation standardsConfidence working with high volumes of stock and a physically active retail environmentA strong sense of ownership and commercial accountabilityThe ability to motivate and inspire a teamResilience and a practical approach to problem-solvingA willingness to think creatively and find better ways of doing thingsStrong written and verbal communication skillsConfidence using retail systems and technologyFirst Aid certification, or willingness to complete training provided by the business What's in it for you?
