About the Role
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you'll lead the HR Business Partnering function and act as the principal adviser to senior leaders on employee and industrial relations matters.
You'll oversee a team of HR Business Partners, ensuring the delivery of a nationally consistent, commercially focused and risk-aware people partnering service providing end to end support across our national business
You will play a critical role in leading enterprise bargaining and industrial relations strategy, managing complex employee relations matters, guiding workplace investigations, supporting organisational change and working with the OD team to strengthen leadership capability across the business.
This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic people decisions as a member of the People, Culture and Capability Leadership team while helping develop strategic initiatives that provide positive outcomes for our people, members and organisation.

What will you do?
In this role, you will:
Lead, coach and develop the HR Business Partnering team, driving service excellence and robust business outcomes across the entire business
Provide strategic advice to People Leaders on their complex people, workforce and industrial relations matters
Lead enterprise bargaining activities, including strategy development, negotiations, while building stakeholder engagement
Oversee complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations and organisational risk management
Potential representation in Fair Work Commission matters and other employment-related proceedings as and when required
Partner with leaders and other members of the team on organisational design, workforce planning, restructures and change initiatives
Drive initiatives surrounding continuous improvement across people practices, governance, reporting and service delivery
Support the development of leadership capability, performance culture,
inclusion, wellbeing and employee engagement initiatives
What do I need?
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Industrial Relations, Law, Business, Psychology or a related discipline
At least 7 years' experience in senior HR Business Partnering roles, including people leadership experience
Demonstrated recent experience leading enterprise bargaining and industrial relations strategy and negotiations
Sound knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation, enterprise agreements and modern awards
Experience managing complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations and organisational change
Experience supporting or managing Fair Work Commission matters
Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, negotiation and communication skills
Commercial judgement, strong risk awareness and the ability to balance people outcomes with business objectives
Experience within health insurance, financial services, healthcare, education, mutual or not-for-profit environments will be highly regarded
