Job Description About the Employer Our client is an established engineering, construction and operations business delivering transport, building, water and other infrastructure works across Australia.
Its multidisciplinary teams support the development and operation of assets used by local communities.
The Opportunity Administer safe work permits and isolations during commissioning and energisation on a remote energy construction project.
The role uses a 2:1 FIFO roster.
Your Work • Review work scopes, risk assessments, drawings and isolation schedules before authorising permits within delegated limits.
• Issue, revalidate, suspend and close permits and brief holders on controls and access boundaries.
• Maintain permit, isolation, lock-box and authorised-person registers.
• Inspect work fronts, verify handback and stop activities outside safe or authorised conditions.
• Coordinate simultaneous operations and commissioning boundaries and support audits and improvement actions.
Requirements Skills, Education and Requirements • Permit officer, controller, issuer or similar experience on substantial construction, commissioning, power, industrial or resources projects.
• Practical knowledge of permit-to-work, isolation and lockout/tagout, energisation and simultaneous-operation controls.
• Ability to assess safe-work documentation and challenge inadequate controls in the field.
• Strong administration, document control and clear communication with site teams.




• Construction White Card and current driver licence.
• Relevant trade, technical, safety or operations qualifications are desirable; electrical, HV switching and authorised-isolator competencies are valued.
