UDL Group is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Estate Maintenance division.
In this position,
you'll oversee daily maintenance activities within prestigious residential estates, ensuring our open spaces and parks are maintained to the highest standard.This is a hands-on team leader position where your day starts from home and involves traveling to various maintenance sites.
You'll be responsible for coordinating tasks, mentoring a small crew, and maintaining detailed and presentable open spaces.
This position offers a trusted autonomous working style, whilst being supported by experienced managers.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess each site daily to identify priorities and delegate tasks effectively to your teamLead and mentor a crew of estate maintenance staff, acting as the primary on-site contactEnsure all team members complete daily pre-start checks and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environmentSupport the Maintenance Coordinator and Maintenance Manager by ensuring staff follow correct procedures, complete digital site checklists, and accurately log work hoursOperate and maintain a range of equipment, including mowers, brush-cutters, and hedgersPlanting, watering, mulchingChemical sprayingBrush-cutting, hedging, pruningWeeding, litter collection,
and path clearingSubmit daily service reports and site updates to managementLiaise with subcontractors and traffic management personnel as neededIdentify and address any incomplete or substandard work promptlyMaintain high-quality control standards to prevent the need for reworkWhat We're Looking ForCandidates must have permanent Australian work rightsProven experience (2-5 years) in a similar Team Leader or Supervisor position within landscape/horticulture maintenanceCertificate III or above in Horticulture or similarConstruction Induction Card (White/Red Card)Valid Victorian Driver's License (P Plate or Full License)ACUP (Chemical Usage Certification)Strong leadership and communication skillsAbility to assess, plan, and execute daily site tasks efficientlyCompetence in operating landscape machinery and toolsA keen eye for detail and commitment to safety and qualityPhysical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditionsA positive attitude, great work standards, and easy-going personality to work as part of a teamDesired Qualifications:Traffic Management Certificate/sFirst Aid CertificateWhy Join UDL Group?
