The Opportunity Lead preconstruction cost planning for Queensland building projects across healthcare, education, civic and commercial sectors.
Your Work • Prepare tender quantities and cost plans from drawings, briefs and specifications.
• Track pricing, market trends and construction methods and maintain benchmarked work breakdowns.
• Develop supplier and subcontractor pricing and present escalation and cash-flow assessments.
• Peer-review estimates and support major variation assessments.
• Check design development against budgets and contribute as-built cost analysis and feasibility pricing.
Requirements Skills, Education and Requirements • Relevant tertiary or trade qualification in construction, engineering, quantity surveying or project/construction management.
• Ten years of construction experience and multidisciplinary estimating capability.
• Advanced financial-management and contemporary estimating-software skills.
• Experience across construct-only, design-and-construct, managing-contract, alliance, joint-venture and PPP delivery models.
• Ability to assess safety, environmental and quality risks and interpret requirements affecting costs.
