We are seeking a motivated and empathetic person to facilitate Drink / Drug Driver Behaviour Change Programs in Bendigo, VIC.
This is a casual role, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our local community.
As a Facilitator, you will lead interactive group sessions based on a motivational interviewing communication method.
Allowing participants a chance to understand the personal and social consequences of drink and drug driving and develop strategies to reduce the risk of re-offending.What you'll be doingFacilitate an engaging and interactive group sessions for participants in the Drink / Drug Driver Behaviour Change ProgramCreate a supportive and non-judgmental environment that encourages open discussion and self-reflectionHelp participants develop practical strategies to change their behaviour and make safer choicesProvide one-on-one support and guidance to participants as neededEngage in ongoing supervision sessionsMaintain accurate records and documentation in line with program requirementsCollaborate with the broader program team to continuously improve the delivery and outcomes of the programWhat we're looking forRelevant bachelor level qualification in either psychology, social work, a health related field or human services.Completed the Alcohol and other drug (AOD) core competencies/unitsTwo or more years experience,
working with mandated clients and/or in the AOD field of workIdeally some experience or training in facilitating group programs or workshopsCompleted or willing to complete Forensic Fundamentals trainingCompleted or willing to complete Motivational Interviewing Fundamentals trainingStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage with a diverse range of participantsDemonstrated empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach when working with vulnerable individualsExcellent organisational and record-keeping skillsA current driver's licence without any drink or drug driving offences in the previous 10 yearsA current police check and working with children's check is also required.What we offerCompetitive hourly rate with casual work arrangementsFlexible hours- could be half days, weekend work, after hours, school hours etc.Ongoing career development and training opportunitiesSupportive supervision (more regular when learning to facilitate programs)Opportunity to make a positive impact in the local communityAbout usTurning Corners Driver Programs is an organisation dedicated to promoting road safety and reducing the impact of drink and drug driving in our local communities.
