The Livestock Administration Officer is ideal for an early-career administrator who will be responsible for providing accurate and timely administrative support to the livestock procurement and operations functions.
The role ensures livestock purchasing, processing, invoicing, transport costing, and producer communications are maintained efficiently and accurately to support business operations and financial reporting.Key responsibilitiesCreate and maintain livestock kill sheets, ensuring all data is accurately captured and recordedUpdate and maintain skin price information and other associated livestock processing dataDistribute kill sheets and related reports to livestock producers and farmers in a timely mannerEnsure livestock transaction records are accurate and completed within required timeframesCompile livestock summaries, transport costs,
and related data for inclusion in weekly costing reportsComplete end-of-week livestock reconciliations and costing requirementsMatch livestock invoices against kill numbers and procurement records to ensure accuracyReconcile livestock purchases, market buys, transport expenses, and associated chargesInvestigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices, purchase records, and processing dataProcess and reconcile market livestock purchasesThe successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent numerical and data entry skills.Effective time management and organisational skills.Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently while maintaining high accuracy standards.
