Backed by more than 25 years of experience, the team supports patients across everything from everyday vision care and eyewear to children's vision, dry eye and ongoing eye health management.We're looking for a part-time Optical Assistant to join our small team.
The days and hours are flexible and can be discussed around the availability of the right person.Optical experience would be valuable but isn't essential.
You may be bringing experience from reception, retail, healthcare or another customer-focused environment.
What matters most is that you are organised, attentive and comfortable working with people.The roleYou'll support patients throughout their experience with the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:Welcoming patients and coordinating appointmentsAnswering phone and in-practice enquiriesProcessing payments and completing administrationSupporting eyewear collections, adjustments and frame repairsLearning to assist with frame selection and lens recommendationsContributing to social media where your skills and interests alignWhat You'll BringA warm, confident and professional approachStrong communication skills and attention to detailA willingness to learn about optics and eye healthAvailability to share alternate Saturday morningsPrevious optical, reception, healthcare or retail experience will be regarded favourablySocial media knowledge would be an advantageYou'll receive practical guidance from an experienced mentor, with opportunities to broaden your optical knowledge over time.This role will suit someone who enjoys being helpful, notices the small things and wants to become a trusted part of an independent practice.
