We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Marketing andCommunications Officer to join our Strategy, Marketing andCommunications team.
In this role, you will develop and deliver strategic marketingand communication initiatives that increase community awareness andengagement with the City's projects, services, programs and events.You will create compelling content across a range of channels,develop marketing campaigns, coordinate corporate branding andcollateral, and support the City's digital and social mediapresence.
You will also support the City's media communications, includingdrafting media releases, speeches, media responses, key messagesand other communication materials that help protect and promote theCity's reputation.
You are a strong communicator with exceptional writing, editingand proofreading skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability tomanage multiple projects and competing priorities.
You thrive in acollaborative environment and enjoy finding creative ways toconnect communities with meaningful information.
Experience in local government, corporate communications orpublic relations environments will be highly regarded.
To be considered for this role, you must address thefollowing selection criteria when submitting your onlineapplication:
Degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations orrelated discipline (please attach a copy to yourapplication)
Excellent proofreading, editing and copywriting skills
Experience preparing media releases, speeches, mediaresponses and other stakeholder communication materials
High level experience in developing and implementingmarketing and communication campaigns to drive communityawareness




Excellent knowledge of digital and social media platformsas communications and marketing tools
Excellent experience in the development of corporatecollateral and branding
Sound knowledge of the graphic design and publicationprocesses and document layout
Strong computer literacy skills, particularly in MicrosoftOffice, Canva, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Photoshop
We are offering a remuneration package from
$94,367 to$101,357
per annum (pro-rata), depending on skills andexperience.
