What role will you play?
As a Data Business Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering a significant transformation initiatives within the Financial Management Portfolio.
Working in a hybrid Business Analyst and Data Business Analyst capacity, you will partner closely with subject matter experts, business stakeholders, architects, and technology teams to understand business outcomes and support the delivery of future-state capabilities to support Finance solutions.
You will work across Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Operating Group stakeholders to understand business events and the resulting data and reporting requirements.
You will help define how data should be captured, structured, used, governed, and distributed; ensuring requirements are accurately translated into architectural models and solution design to enable downstream reporting and finance outcomes.
Your role will focus on understanding current and future-state processes, defining and documenting business and data requirements, identifying and defining data quality rules, analysing data patterns through discovery and testing activities, ensuring alignment between business needs, data architecture, and reporting outcomes.
You will also work closely with Solution Architecture and Business Architecture teams as high-level designs are finalised, supporting detailed requirements gathering and delivery planning through to implementation with technology teams.
In addition, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to establish data lineage, ensuring data requirements, transformation processes, traceability, and criticality are appropriately captured and aligned to Data Governance standards and activities.
What you offer
Experience as a Data Business Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role within large-scale finance, regulatory, or data transformation initiatives
Strong experience working with end-to-end data flows, including defining business and data requirements, source-to-target mappings, data models, data flows lineage, and data quality controls
Experience partnering with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Risk, Data, and Technology stakeholders to deliver complex business and reporting outcomes
Ability to understand business events, identify reporting and data requirements, and translate these into clear, actionable documentation and delivery outcomes
Experience working closely with Subject Matter Experts, Solution Architects, and Business Architects to shape and deliver strategic solutions
Proven capability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams, with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
