The Opportunity
Due to the internal promotion, we are looking for a proactive and energetic Quality Analyst - Chemistry to join our Quality team and play a key role in ensuring product quality, food safety and compliance across our refinery and dairy operations.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance & NPD Manager, you will be responsible for chemical analysis, laboratory systems, quality assurance activities and providing technical support to operational teams.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality to ensure we consistently deliver quality products that meet customer, legislative and certification requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on laboratory work, interpreting data, solving problems and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing chemical analysis of sugar, dairy and blended products.
Investigating out-of-specification results through to resolution.
Maintaining laboratory equipment calibration, validation and testing methods.
Generating Certificates of Analysis (CoAs).
Ensuring laboratory activities comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and ISO ***** standards.




Supporting quality, food safety and compliance systems, including FSSC ***** and ISO quality requirements.
Conducting internal audits, verification activities and supporting NCR closure.
Analysing trends and communicating findings and corrective actions to stakeholders.
Providing technical support, training and guidance to cross-functional teams.
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting and project work.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Food Science or a related scientific discipline.
Experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory environment.
Experience within the food manufacturing industry.
Knowledge of quality and food safety management systems, ideally FSSC *****, ISO **** and/or ISO *****.
Experience using analytical equipment such as NIR, Polarimeter and Spectrometer.
Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills.
The ability to interpret data, identify trends and communicate findings effectively.
Excellent organisation, planning and time-management skills.
A passion for quality, food safety and continuous improvement.
