This role will provide training and growth for the right applicant but experience in CNC laser operation is essential.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlanning production and where necessary re-organising to best meet production and customer deliverablesHelping out in production where required to ensure delivery timelines are keptEnsure that production is running efficiently and according to scheduleOverseeing and ensuring that purchasing and inventory management is completed in a timely manner to ensure uninterrupted productionOverseeing the invoicing and receipting of payments as per company requirementsCoordinate and monitor maintenance and repairs to plant and equipmentMinimise error & waste by implementing a stringent quality control processManage the overall OH&S; responsibilities on siteReporting to the General Manager and Production Manager on a weekly basis to set targets and future directionOther duties and responsibilities as directed from time to time.About YouThe successful candidate will possess the following experience and skills:Experience as an Operations ManagerA robust technical background in Engineering and operational leadershipExperience in steel handling, processing, fabrication, welding and manufacturingFamiliarity with quality assurance, contract documentation and SOP'sEager to go into the workshop and efficiently organise projects and tasksStrong personnel and communication skillsWilling to work respectfully in a team environment (including in other areas within a fabrication environment)Proficient in CAD softwareThe successful applicant will receive training, company support and the opportunity to grow within a long standing and successful organisation.
