You will take full ownership of the day-to-day accounting function, from bank reconciliations through to the consolidated monthly management report pack.
You will report to senior management and in time you will be supported by a part-time bookkeeper, and the role is expected to grow as the business does.Key responsibilitiesBank reconciliations across multiple accounts and currencies, accounts payable and receivable, payroll and superannuation, and BASMonth-end close across all group entities, including journals, general ledger reconciliations and working papersForeign currency translation, intercompany recharges and reconciliations, and the monthly group consolidationPreparation of the monthly management and sales reporting packsInventory accounting, landed cost allocation and product costing for imported and manufactured stockDay-to-day currency requirements and administration of trade finance facilitiesFinance process improvement, and a share of general office administration alongside the rest of the teamAbout youCA or CPA qualifiedExperience in an international business with genuine exposure to overseas entitiesBusiness fluency in Mandarin and English.
This is an inherent requirement of the role:



you will deal regularly with our China manufacturing operation and with source documentation in ChineseHands-on multi-currency accounting, foreign currency translation and group consolidation experienceInternational shipping and importing experience, including freight and landed cost allocationInventory accounting in a product-based business, and Australian payroll processingAn independent operator who is prepared to do the whole job, from the routine processing through to the technical workMYOB experience, trade finance exposure and a manufacturing or import background are all highly regardedAbout usAuskin is an Australian-owned designer, manufacturer and wholesaler of premium sheepskin and natural fibre products.
We manufacture in China, purchase raw materials on international markets, and sell through wholesale, agency and direct-to-consumer channels across Australia, Recent Zealand, the United States and Europe.

We are a more complex business than our size suggests: multiple entities, multiple currencies, multiple accounting systems, international freight and trade finance, and an intercompany structure that connects all of it.
