We are looking for an experienced Hardware Technician to join our busy repair workshop.This is a skilled technical role - NOT an entry-level or trainee position.THE ROLEYou will install, test, diagnose, repair, upgrade and maintain computer and ICT hardware, including:MacBooks, laptops and desktop computersiPhone and Samsung smartphonesiPads and other tabletsPlayStation, Xbox and other gaming consolesReplacing and upgrading hardware components - screens, batteries, storage, keyboards, charging ports, connectors and internal flex cablesComponent-level soldering and logic board repairsAdvanced board-level work - CPU / chip swaps, reballing, NAND replacement and storage upgradesData recovery from damaged, liquid-damaged and non-booting devicesDiagnosing hardware faults using diagnostic software, test equipment and schematicsInstalling and configuring operating systems and software after repairs,



and data transferTesting all devices and quality-checking repairs before return to the customerRecording repairs, parts used and test results in our job management systemExplaining faults and repair options to customersABOUT YOUMinimum 3 years' qualified experience repairing computer / mobile device hardware (or a relevant IT or electronics qualification)Strong hardware fault-diagnosis and soldering skillsConfident with charging ports, connectors and internal flex cablesExperience with CPU swaps, NAND upgrades and data recovery highly regardedLaptop / MacBook and gaming console repair experience highly regardedFast, accurate and organised - around 15+ completed jobs per day depending on complexityHigh quality workmanship with a low comeback rateAble to work independentlyReliable and punctualAble to communicate with customers in EnglishWHAT WE OFFER$80,000 - $85,000 per year + superannuation (depending on experience)Team performance bonuses when repair and quality targets are metConsistent workload with plenty of repairsVariety of computers, phones, tablets, consoles and electronicsOpportunity to develop advanced board-level repair skillsAustralian citizens, permanent residents and visa holders with work rights are encouraged to apply.
