The Site and FIFO
The role is based at a large underground hard rock operation in regional South Australia.
Site and roster highlights include:
2:2 roster - 7 days, 7 nights, followed by 14 days off12-hour shiftsFIFO flights paid from major capital citiesHigh-quality camp facilities with ensuite roomsOnsite gym, pool and wet messTelstra and Optus coverage
The Role
As an Underground Heavy Diesel Fitter, you'll join the mobile maintenance team supporting a brand-new underground fleet.
The fleet includes:
Agitator trucksUnderground shotcrete rigsIntegrated tool carriersLight vehicles
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Servicing and repairing underground mobile and fixed plantCompleting scheduled and preventative maintenanceDiagnosing faults and replacing componentsMechanical,



hydraulic and basic auto-electrical fault findingAttending breakdowns across the underground operationIdentifying and managing maintenance risksEnsuring all work meets site safety and quality standards
Your Value
You will hold an Australian-recognised heavy diesel, mobile plant or heavy vehicle trade qualification and have proven experience maintaining underground hard rock equipment.
To be considered, you must have:
Experience working on underground shotcrete rigs and/or agitator trucksCurrent or recent underground hard rock mining experienceStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsMechanical, hydraulic and basic auto-electrical knowledgeA positive attitude and strong commitment to safetyAbility to complete a National Police Check and pre-employment medical
