About the role
Our client is looking for a Litigation Lawyer with approximately 12 months –2 years PAE to join their Melbourne CBD team. This is a great opportunity for an early career lawyer to build broad, practical experience across a varied mix of commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters.

Your role will include handling a wide range of matters, for example:

- General commercial and contractual disputes
- Corporations Act disputes
- Australian Consumer Law claims
- Debt recovery and statutory demands
- Insolvency-related disputes
- Property and building disputes
- Employment disputes (and more)!
- Preparing court documents, correspondence and briefs to Counsel
- Assisting with mediations, negotiations and other dispute resolution processes
- Liaising directly with clients, Counsel, experts and other stakeholders

Skills and experience we'd love:

- 12 months –2 years PAE experience in commercial litigation and/or dispute resolution
- Strong academics in law
- Strong drafting, research and communication skills
- Sound attention to detail and organisational skills




- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- A practical, commercial and client-focused approach
- A genuine interest in developing a broad litigation practice

This role would suit a junior lawyer who enjoys the variety of litigation and is looking to develop strong technical and practical skills across a broad range of disputes within a supportive and approachable team.
