About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Service Desk & Field Service to step into a crucial leadership position. Based at our Preston facilities, this initial 3 to 6-month contract offers an immediate start, full operational integration, and the opportunity to lead an established IT support function.

For the right candidate who seamlessly fits the team culture and drives operational excellence, there is a strong pathway to a permanent offer (subject to internal business approvals).

What You’ll Be Doing

- Leading and overseeing day-to-day operations across both Service Desk and Field Service support teams.
- Driving SLA compliance, incident management, escalation handling, and high-quality customer service standards.
- Managing onsite field service logistics, hardware deployment workflows, and resource allocation.




- Bringing immediate stability, team leadership, and operational clarity during a team transition.
- Collaborating directly with internal stakeholders and vendor partners onsite to maintain seamless IT service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

- Proven IT Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing combined IT Service Desk and Field Service / Desktop Support teams.
- Onsite Engagement: Ability to work 4–5 days per week on-site in Preston, fostering a cohesive, hands-on team environment.
- ITIL & Operational Mastery: Strong background in incident/problem management, SLA reporting, and process improvement.
- Immediate Availability: Ready to step in at short notice and take ownership from day one.
