We’re looking for experienced and reliable Forklift Operators to join a busy airfreight operation in Melbourne. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be working with international freight and aircraft units, helping keep cargo moving safely and efficiently.

About the Role As a Forklift Operator, you’ll play an important role in the safe and efficient movement of airfreight throughout the terminal.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Operating a forklift to unload and move aircraft units
- Loading and unloading freight from trucks
- Manually handling freight when required
- Removing cargo nets and shrink-wrap from pallets
- Moving and positioning airfreight safely throughout the terminal
- Operating hoists to safely manoeuvre aircraft units
- Assisting with general airfreight terminal and warehouse duties
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures
- Working as part of a team to ensure freight is processed efficiently and on time
Rosters & Pay
- $34.95 per hour + applicable penalties
- Full rotational roster – morning, afternoon and night shifts
- Monday to Sunday availability may be required
- Full availability across the rotational roster is essential
What We’re Looking For
- Current Forklift Licence
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Freight, warehouse or logistics experience highly regarded
- Experience with loading and unloading freight
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Fully available to work a rotational roster – essential
- Able to pass a National Criminal History Check
- Able to pass Drug & Alcohol testing
- Willingness to obtain an ASIC
