HR / HC Truck Driver – Full Time
West Melbourne | Full-Time | Ongoing Work | Saturday Overtime Available

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HR and HC Truck Drivers to join a busy and growing metal recycling and transport operation based in West Melbourne.
This is a varied driving role involving the collection and transport of scrap metal from civil construction sites, yard-based work and container transport to and from the port.
We are open to drivers with different heavy vehicle backgrounds. Experience with hook-lift/hook trucks, semi-tippers, container transport or similar work will all be considered.

About the Role
Depending on your experience and the work required, duties may include:

- Collecting scrap metal from civil construction and customer sites
- Transporting materials back to the West Melbourne yard
- Loading and unloading materials
- Operating a hook-lift/hook truck to load and unload containers
- Transporting processed metal in containers to and from the port
- Operating heavy vehicles including hook trucks, semi-tippers and similar equipment
- Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns
- Ensuring loads are safe, secure and compliant with transport requirements
- Working safely around construction sites, yards and heavy machinery
- Completing basic paperwork and job documentation
- Following all company safety procedures and Chain of Responsibility requirements

About You




We're interested in speaking with drivers who have experience in any of the following areas:

- Hook-lift / hook truck driving
- Semi-tipper driving
- Container transport
- Scrap metal or recycling transport
- Civil construction or site-based truck driving
- Waste or similar heavy vehicle work

You will also need:

- Current HR or HC licence
- A good driving record and strong commitment to safety
- Experience with loading, unloading and/or load restraint
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
- Comfortable working around construction sites, yards and heavy machinery

Hook-lift, container or semi-tipper experience is highly regarded, but we're open to drivers with transferable heavy vehicle experience.
