Caseload: Adult NDIS – Mental Health & Psychosocial Disability

Our client is a privately owned, established allied health provider looking for an Occupational Therapist with an interest or background in mental health to join their growing adult NDIS team.

You will work predominantly with adults experiencing psychosocial disability and mental health presentations, supporting clients to improve independence, participation and day-to-day functioning within the community.

This role would suit an Occupational Therapist who enjoys working with adults, has a genuine interest in mental health and values having experienced clinicians and team leaders around them for support.

About the Role
You will support an adult NDIS caseload across Wollongong, Illawarra and Shoalhaven, with a strong focus on mental health and psychosocial disability.
Your work may include functional capacity assessments, mental health-focused occupational therapy assessments, sensory and daily living support, capacity building, report writing, intervention planning, assistive technology and working collaboratively with clients, families and support teams.

You will have the opportunity to manage your own caseload while still having access to a large Occupational Therapy team and experienced clinicians when you need support.

Any experience welcomed as there is already experienced mental health OTs on the team to provide supervision.

About You
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Current AHPRA registration
• Interest or experience in mental health and psychosocial disability
• Comfortable working with an adult NDIS caseload
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider multidisciplinary team
• New graduates with a strong interest in mental health through to experienced clinicians are encouraged to apply
• Current driver’s licence and access to a car

Team & Support
You will be joining one of the larger Occupational Therapy teams in the region, with dedicated senior OTs available for 1:1 supervision and clinical guidance.
New graduates can access structured weekly supervision and shadowing while building confidence, while experienced clinicians can receive support tailored to their level of experience and clinical interests.
