Northam PCYC is seeking a friendly, organised Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our Centre, while also assisting with our safeSPACE and Stepping Stones youth programmes.

About us:
Northam PCYC is a hub for young people in the Wheatbelt. The Centre offers a range of programs including gymnastics, boxing and other activities and our Stepping Stones program provides alternative education support for students facing disengagement in mainstream education. Working in partnership with WA Police, the Department of Education and other community-based organisations, this role is central to creating a welcoming environment for members, participants, families and the community.

About the role:
As the Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our Centre. You will manage the manage the day-to-day operations, providing excellent customer service for anyone using our services. Responsibilities include:

- Providing front-of-house reception duties: greeting visitors, answering phones and emails, managing bookings, memberships and general enquiries
- Maintaining accurate records, handle basic administrative and financial transactions (e.g. eftpos, invoicing) as required
- Supporting the coordination and day-to-day running of all programs such as safeSPACE and Stepping Stones, including assisting with participant sign-in, materials preparation and general programme logistics.




- Represent PCYC's values professionally in all interactions

Hours of Work:
Primary days of work will be Monday-Thursday, with some Friday work available. We seek flexibility where possible. Please note – during school term time, some shifts will finish at 6:30pm.

What we're looking for:

- Previous front-of-house, administration or customer service experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- An interest in youth development and community programmes (previous experience an advantage but not essential)
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some afternoons/evenings when programmes run
