About the Role
The Logistics and Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager – Food & Beverage in all aspects of procurement of goods for Luna Park Sydney (LPS), and for the cleanliness and WHS compliance of the loading dock area and Retail Food and Beverage outlets.

This role also encompasses sourcing goods from designated preferred suppliers and sourcing prices for new items/products as directed. The role also supports compliance with HACCP policy and procedures, including monitoring and recording of deliveries, storage and transfer of goods to various departments in LPS. In conjunction with the Stock Controller, support monthly stock takes and ensure all goods are transferred to the correct location number and ensure contracted goods are invoiced with correct purchasing prices. This role is also responsible for reporting on any stock variances in conjunction with the Stock Controller.

Key Responsibilities

- In conjunction with the Senior Manager – Food & Beverage, order goods and services for LPS
- Conduct market research to identify trends, new products and cost saving opportunities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce cost
- Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and policy compliance
- Monitor and review supplier performance – including quality and discrepancies
- Monitor and record HACCP protocols as per LPS HACCP policy and procedures
- In conjunction with Senior Manager – Food and Beverage, maintain seasonal par levels for stock on hand
- Coordinate equipment preventative maintenance and ensure equipment breakdowns are reported to the Senior Manager – Food & Beverage /Maintenance and repairs are followed up




- Ensure all deliveries are checked against the invoice/delivery docket and communicate any variances to Department Managers immediately.
- Store all stock in line with LPS policies and procedures, and rotate stock on a first in, first out (FIFO) basis
- Lead and allocate tasks to a team of runners
- Document all breakages and immediately inform Department Managers
- Record all deliveries and transfers using the correct LPS transfer sheets and, where applicable, scan them using the PDE
- Coordinate monthly stock takes in conjunction with the Stock Controller and Senior Manager – Food & Beverage
- Ensure timely placement of orders with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply of goods to LPS
- departments, including the Food & Beverage, Events and Functions departments
- In conjunction with the Senior Manager – Food & Beverage regularly ensure LPS is obtaining the
- best price for products purchased and explore possible alternative products as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement by reviewing procedures and recommending best
- practice alternatives
- Maintain a safe, compliant loading dock in line with WHS legislation and LPS policy
- Pursue supplier credit notes
- Attend functions and departmental meetings as required
- Source contractors or internal maintenance to coordinate repair and maintenance of equipment
- when required
- Model and promote the Luna Park Sydney Spirits and Code of conduct

Key Requirement

- Relevant qualification in procurement, logistics, supply chain or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, logistics, supplier management and inventory control, preferably within hospitality, entertainment or events.
- Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and inventory/POS systems; SwiftPOS and ROLLER experience is highly regarded.
- Current RSA and Food Safety and Handling certification.
