About the Role:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a locum placement at a rural public hospital in Tennant Creek, NT. The contract starts ASAP and runs to 30 October 2026. This is a small hospital of around 20 beds within the NT health network, providing acute care, 24-hour emergency services, general medicine, allied health, pathology, radiology and outreach to surrounding remote communities. You will gain broad clinical exposure across a diverse patient population in a close-knit team, with access to visiting specialists and referral pathways to larger centres.
- Provide high quality nursing care across acute, emergency and general medical presentations
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in a rural and remote setting
- Work collaboratively with medical, allied health and Aboriginal Health Worker colleagues
- Support outreach and community health services as required
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Contribute to patient education, discharge planning and referral coordination
- Uphold clinical governance, safety and quality standards

About You:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Acute or emergency nursing experience (desirable)
- Rural or remote experience (desirable, not essential)
- Adaptable and confident working autonomously within a small team
- Available to start ASAP and for the full contract period
- Eligible to work in Australia
