We are currently seeking a Fire Safety Engineer to join a highly regarded engineering consultancy with an established reputation for delivering innovative fire engineering solutions across major building developments.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-profile buildings projects alongside some of the industry's most experienced fire safety engineers, with genuine scope to develop your technical expertise and progress your career.

The Opportunity
As a Fire Safety Engineer, you will play a key role in developing fire safety strategies and engineering solutions for complex building projects.

You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse project portfolio, collaborating with architects, structural engineers, building services engineers, authorities and clients to develop practical and innovative fire safety outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing fire safety strategies for complex building projects
- Performance-based fire engineering analysis and design
- Alternative and performance solutions
- Fire and life safety assessments
- Evacuation and occupant movement analysis
- Smoke hazard and smoke control assessments
- Fire resistance and compartmentation assessments
- Review of fire safety systems and building services
- Preparation of technical reports, assessments and documentation
- Liaising with clients, architects, authorities and other project stakeholders
- Providing technical advice throughout the design and construction process
- Supporting project delivery and mentoring less experienced engineers

You will be exposed to a diverse portfolio of major building projects, potentially including:

- High-rise commercial developments
- Major residential and mixed-use developments
- Healthcare

- Defence
- Infrastructure
- Retail and entertainment
- Industrial facilities
- Complex public buildings

The team is particularly well positioned to offer engineers exposure to technically challenging projects where innovative fire engineering solutions are required.

We're interested in speaking with Fire Safety Engineers who have:

- Relevant Australian fire engineering experience
- Experience working across building projects
- A strong understanding of the NCC and relevant Australian Standards
- Experience with performance-based fire engineering and/or prescriptive fire safety design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
- A genuine interest in developing technically and professionally

Engineers from Intermediate through Senior and Associate level are encouraged to apply.
