Project Site Lead – Telecommunications Infrastructure
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Lead to support the delivery of large-scale telecommunications and critical infrastructure projects across NSW.
This role will play a key part in the end-to-end delivery of microwave network rollout activities, providing both technical oversight and on-site project coordination across installation, commissioning, contractor management, safety, and stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in telecommunications infrastructure delivery, with the ability to manage field execution while working closely with engineering, operations, and client stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate site-based delivery activities for MW installation and commissioning
- Provide technical oversight across construction, integration, testing, and project delivery
- Ensure works are executed in line with approved designs, engineering standards, and project schedules
- Manage subcontractors, field teams, and vendor activities across multiple sites
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and escalation of technical issues during deployment
- Maintain compliance with WHS requirements, permits, SWMS, and site safety standards




- Liaise with internal engineering teams, delivery partners, and client stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, site risks, and delivery milestones
- Prepare and review project documentation including reporting, handover packs, and as-built documentation
- Support project planning, resource coordination, and delivery forecasting

About You

- 5 -7+ years’ experience within telecommunications, utilities, or critical infrastructure projects
- Proven experience delivering microwave (MW) network infrastructure projects
- Solid understanding of transmission networks and field-based deployment activities
- Experience managing subcontractors and multi-site delivery environments
- Strong technical and stakeholder management capability
- Knowledge of Australian WHS standards and site compliance requirements
- Ability to travel across regional NSW as required

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

- Degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
- Experience with Microwave technologies
- Current Working at Heights, EWP, and First Aid certifications
- NSW Driver License / car - Expenses reimbursed.
