East Arnhem Regional Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Municipal Services Supervisor to lead the delivery of essential municipal services in Galiwinku.

About the Role
As the Municipal Services Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for delivering safe, efficient and compliant municipal services across the community. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate staff and resources,
and ensure services are delivered to a high standard while maintaining compliance with workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Municipal Services team, ensuring safe, compliant and effective service delivery.
- Coordinate and oversee municipal services, including waste management, landfill operations, roads maintenance, public spaces, grounds maintenance, and community infrastructure.
- Manage daily work schedules, workforce performance, attendance and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS), environmental, Council and legislative requirements.
- Oversee the safe operation, inspection and maintenance of plant, vehicles, equipment and community assets.
- Coordinate municipal services responses during emergencies, severe weather events and other service disruptions.
- Maintain accurate operational, asset and compliance records while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Other duties as reasonably directed by the Council Services Manager.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Relevant qualifications and/or substantial experience in municipal services, civil works, waste management, infrastructure maintenance, or a similar operational environment.
- A current Medium Rigid (MR) Driver Licence.
- Relevant plant and equipment competencies (such as loader, skid steer or backhoe operation).
- Demonstrated experience leading and supervising operational teams.
- Strong organisational, planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and environmental compliance.
- The ability to work effectively in a remote community environment and build positive working relationships.
