We are currently seeking experienced Plastic Technicians to join a well-known and stable manufacturing business based in Forrest Field, WA.
We are looking for multiple operators who are competent and licensed forklift drivers, with High Reach forklift experience REQUIRED.
Previous plastics industry experience is highly desirable, with Blow Moulding and/or Extrusion experience ESSENTIAL.
The Role
As a Plastic Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Operating both Blow Moulding and Extrusion machines to maintain production efficiency.
- Machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
- Monitoring machinery to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.
- Conducting test runs and quality checks.
- Ensuring the safe operation of all machinery while meeting daily production targets.
- Maintaining consistent product specifications and quality standards.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting machinery to ensure secure and efficient operation.
- Identifying and recommending improvements to increase production efficiency.
- Undertaking additional tasks and projects as required.
- Operating a forklift to stack, move and organise pallets.
- Following company policies and procedures relating to SOPs, HSE and Quality.
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards.
- Completing production and quality records accurately.
- Operating basic machine functions as required.
What We're Looking For
To be considered for this opportunity,
you will need:
- Blow Moulding and/or Extrusion machine experience - ESSENTIAL
- LF Forklift Licence - High Reach experience REQUIRED
- Previous plastics/manufacturing experience highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating 5-day roster, including weekends when required.
- Availability to work a minimum of 2-4 shifts per week.
What We Offer
Competitive Rates: $35.46 - $46.30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
