Airport Development Group (ADG) is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner - Asset Management to support the financial performance, reporting and governance of our growing capital projects portfolio. Based in Cairns, this role offers the opportunity to partner with senior stakeholders, provide strategic financial insights and contribute to the delivery of critical aviation infrastructure projects.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and leading a team of two Project Cost Controllers, you will play a key role in capital planning, forecasting, reporting and asset accounting across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the finance lead for ADG's capital program and asset accounting activities
- Partner with Project Managers, Program Managers and business leaders to drive project performance and accountability
- Manage capital budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes
- Prepare financial analysis, modelling and reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Oversee project cash flow forecasting and capital expenditure reporting
- Manage asset accounting activities, including capitalisation, depreciation and asset register maintenance
- Ensure funding releases, project transfers and month-end capital accounting activities are completed accurately
- Support long-term capital planning, treasury activities and corporate valuation processes
- Lead, coach and develop two Project Cost Controllers
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting and financial processes
About You
You will bring:
- CA, CPA or CIMA qualification (or currently working towards qualification)
- Degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
- Experience in capital project finance, asset accounting and business partnering
- Solid financial modelling and analytical capabilities
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using Power BI
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Desirable Experience:
- Aviation, infrastructure, construction or other capital-intensive industries
- TechnologyOne experience
- Experience supporting large capital investment programs
