Role Purpose
The Recruitment Officer supports the delivery of recruitment and onboarding activities across Brida and NBAC. The role works closely with HR, hiring managers and candidates to coordinate recruitment processes and ensure recent employees progress efficiently through onboarding and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment activities including advertising vacancies, reviewing applications, candidate communication and interview scheduling.
- Assist with candidate screening, interviews and reference checks.
- Maintain recruitment records and candidate information within Employment Hero.
- Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding requirements including medicals, Drug & Alcohol screening, training and inductions.
- Liaise with candidates, supervisors, training providers and other external providers throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Monitor candidate progress and follow up outstanding onboarding and compliance requirements.
- Prepare recruitment and onboarding documentation using approved HR templates.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee and candidate records.
- Provide regular recruitment updates to HR and hiring managers.
- Assist with general HR administration and other recruitment-related duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in recruitment, HR, administration, mobilisation or a similar coordination role is desirable.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple candidates and competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and record keeping.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and online systems; experience with Employment Hero is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce and communicate respectfully with employees, candidates and community members.
Desirable
- Experience within the Pilbara, resources, Aboriginal corporation, community services or similar environment.
- Experience coordinating medicals, training, inductions or workforce mobilisation.
