About the Role
This is not a role about selling more widgets, this is a role where your knowledge and expertise can help to drive community conversations which lead directly to change, greater understanding and ultimately better lives for people living with mental health and wellbeing challenges.
Functionally, the Brand, Marketing & Engagement Coordinator supports the delivery of integrated marketing, digital, communications and engagement activities that are core to strengthening awareness, understanding and connection with our client's services, people and the community.
Reporting to the GM Brand and Partnerships and as part of the Brand and Partnerships team, the position is responsible for the development and roll out of engaging campaigns, content and community activities. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will help deliver communications that are professional, accessible, audience-centred and aligned with our client's brand.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, bringing ideas to life and building their capability across marketing, communications, digital engagement and campaign coordination.
Key features of the role include but are not limited to:
- Marketing & Campaigns: Coordinate marketing, communications and engagement campaigns across digital, print and stakeholder channels, supporting planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting.
- Digital Channels & Content: Coordinate and optimise website, social media and other digital content to improve audience engagement and access to information. Create, adapt and publish content across websites, social media, intranet and email platforms.
- Content Planning & Storytelling: Manage content calendars, publishing schedules and communication workflows, and support storytelling through written content, photography, video and multimedia assets.
- Events & Engagement: Coordinate events, activations, exhibitions, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Brand & Collateral: Develop and update marketing collateral, branded resources and promotional materials, maintaining attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Digital Marketing & Analytics: Support website updates, audience engagement, analytics and campaign optimisation.
- Relationships & Inclusive Communications: Build positive relationships with leaders, service teams, partners and suppliers, and contribute to accessible,
inclusive and culturally safe communications that reflect our client's values and brand standards.
About The Business
Our client is a leading Western Australian mental health organisation providing inclusive, community-based residential, outreach and mental health services for adults and young people. The organisation believes everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful life, connected to their community and supported in their recovery and wellbeing journey.
Through evidence-based practice, lived experience leadership and person-centred support, our client helps people build confidence, strengthen resilience and achieve goals. Its strategic priorities focus on improving services, bridging gaps in the mental health system, influencing lasting change and building a resilient future for the communities it serves.
Our client's values centre on recovery, courage, putting people first, inclusion and belonging and having a commitment to listening and learning.
Our client is also committed to creating safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces for staff, consumers and communities. The organisation celebrates diversity and values the perspectives of people with lived and living experience of mental health recovery along with people with a disability, from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, culturally diverse, LGBTQIA+ and other underrepresented communities.
About You
This role is suited to a creative, motivated and highly organised person who enjoys a broad mix of marketing and communications activities, thrives in a cooperative environment and wants to contribute to meaningful social impact.
We are looking for a solid generalist, someone who understands that communication within a not-for-profit context is complex and isn't just about great TikToks. We are looking for someone who understands that stakeholders range from Board members to staff to service users, their families, sector partners government and others. Communication, like our community, is not a one size fits all.
Suitable candidates will therefore possess the following:
Demonstrated Experience
- Coordinating marketing, communications, engagement, events or related activities.
- Creating and publishing content across multiple communication channels.
Technical Capability
- Written communication and copywriting skills for a diversity of audiences.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- A keen eye for detail and brand consistency.
- Sound digital literacy and confidence using Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience creating digital assets and visual content.
- Experience with content management systems, analytics platforms, social media scheduling tools or CRM systems.
- Experience supporting photography, video or multimedia content creation.
Your Reward
Join a team that is passionate about improving mental wellbeing outcomes and creating a workplace where people feel valued, supported and empowered to grow. You will work alongside people with diverse experiences and perspectives in a values-led organisation focused on recovery, courage and innovation.
- Career Development: The opportunity to gain experience in the GM role when Acting opportunities arise.
- Reward & Benefits: Salary packaging up to $18,640 to help maximise your take-home pay, four weeks annual leave, the opportunity to purchase additional leave (conditions apply) and long service leave benefits after five years of service.
- Wellbeing & Flexibility: Birthday Leave and Wellbeing Leave each year, access to an Employee Assistance Program and a supportive, flexible work environment that values work-life balance.
- Learning & Development: Comprehensive onboarding, role-specific training, ongoing professional development opportunities and access to LinkedIn Learning.
- Culture & Inclusion: An inclusive workplace with a strong commitment to cultural safety, inclusion and belonging.
