Kerrisdale Gardens is seeking an experienced and motivated Groundskeeper to join our team and help maintain the beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces across our Facility.
Our gardens play an important role in the wellbeing of our residents, providing safe, peaceful and welcoming outdoor environments. We are looking for people who take pride in their work and have a genuine passion for horticulture, gardening and landscape maintenance.
About the Role
This is a part time opportunity working hours across Monday to Friday, which will increase as wet season approaches. Working at Kerrisdale Gardens, you will assist in maintaining lawns, landscaped areas, garden beds, courtyards and outdoor spaces to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, landscaped areas and outdoor spaces across the facility
- Mowing, edging, pruning, planting, mulching and weed control
- Care and maintenance of garden beds, shrubs, trees and pot plants
- Maintain gardening equipment and ensure safe operation of machinery
- Identify and report grounds maintenance or safety issues
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team
- Follow scheduled grounds maintenance programs
- Support the development and improvement of outdoor spaces
About You
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Demonstrated experience in gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance
- Experience using gardening equipment such as commercial mowers, trimmers and blowers
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high-quality outdoor spaces
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of Workplace Health & Safety requirements
- A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain (essential)
- Current Flu Vaccination or willingness to obtain
Desirable
Experience working in aged care, healthcare or large facilities
Certificate II or III in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens, Landscaping
