Programmed is currently seeking a Junior Workshop Service Advisor to join a leading provider of municipal vehicles and specialist equipment at their Bassendean workshop.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within a workshop, service or automotive environment. Working closely with experienced service and workshop personnel, you will support the coordination of service and repair jobs while developing your knowledge of workshop operations and customer service.
You will assist with customer enquiries, job administration, coordinating parts and monitoring job progress, ensuring technicians have the information and resources they need to complete work efficiently.
This role would suit someone with some workshop, automotive, mechanical, parts, administration or customer service experience who is keen to develop into a fully developed Service Advisor role within 3 months.
About You
We are looking for a customer-focused and organised individual who is eager to learn and develop their career within a workshop environment.
You will ideally have:
- Some previous experience in a workshop, automotive, mechanical, parts, trade counter, administration or customer service workplace.
- An interest in vehicles, machinery or technical equipment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good computer and administrative skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively with both customers and tradespeople.
- A willingness to learn workshop systems, processes and service requirements.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to work within a workshop environment.
- Full Australian working rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with customer enquiries relating to servicing and repairs.
- Answer phone and email enquiries and provide professional customer service.
- Accurately record customer requirements and service requests.
- Assist with creating and updating work orders and job cards.
- Liaise with technicians and supervisors regarding job progress.
- Keep customers updated on the progress of their vehicles or equipment.
- Assist with coordinating parts and ensuring required components are available.
- Support the preparation of service quotes and documentation.
- Assist with identifying additional repair or service requirements.
- Help ensure completed jobs are accurately recorded and invoiced.
- Provide general administrative support to the workshop and service team.
- Build strong working relationships with technicians, customers, parts staff and supervisors.

- $75,000 – $80,000 + 12% Super

Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service, administration, workshop, automotive, mechanical, parts or trade environment is desirable.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop within a workshop environment.

- Ability to pass required pre-employment checks, including police, medical and drug & alcohol screening where required.
