This is a rare leadership role where you'll help shape the financial resilience of one of Australia's largest superannuation funds. You'll lead a team responsible for treasury, capital management, liquidity, reserves and corporate insurance while partnering with senior executives, Board Committees and regulators to support strong member outcomes.

Description
We're all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Senior Manager - Capital, Treasury and Insurance, you'll play a critical role in supporting the General Manager, Finance and Tax to lead treasury, capital, liquidity, reserve management and corporate insurance activities across the organisation. You'll influence key financial decisions that support the long-term sustainability and resilience of the fund, ensuring robust governance, regulatory compliance and effective balance sheet management. Working across Finance, Investments, Risk, Legal, Operations and business leadership teams, you'll provide expert advice on capital adequacy, liquidity risk, reserves, funding and financial risk management.

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane or Sydney.

Responsibilities
Day to day, you'll:

- Lead and develop a high-performing treasury, capital and insurance team, building capability and supporting succession planning.
- Maintain and execute the Capital Management Framework and support Recovery and Exit Planning activities.
- Oversee capital adequacy processes and monitor return on capital across relevant entities.
- Ensure compliance with prudential standards and regulatory obligations.
- Lead liquidity risk management activities, including stress testing, reporting and contingency funding planning.
- Oversee reserve management frameworks, monitoring and reporting.
- Manage the organisation's corporate insurance portfolio, including placements, renewals, claims management and insurer relationships.
- Prepare high-quality papers and recommendations for Management, Board Committees and the Board.

- Partner with Risk teams to identify, assess and manage financial and operational risks.
- Assess capital, liquidity and balance sheet impacts arising from strategic initiatives, projects and incidents.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators, banks, insurers and external advisers.
- Drive continuous improvement through enhanced processes, controls, reporting and automation.
- Support business planning, product development and pricing activities through the provision of financial and strategic insights.

Qualifications
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You hold tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, actuarial studies, accounting or a related discipline.
- Your experience includes treasury, capital management or balance sheet management within large regulated financial institutions.
- You'll bring strong knowledge of APRA-regulated superannuation, banking, insurance or broader financial services environments.
