Electrical Project Director – HV
Location: Brisbane, QLD
Salary: $250,000 – $300,000 + Super + Vehicle
Project: Major Data Centre Development
Travel: 1 week per month working away from home on site

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Project Director – HV to take a senior leadership position delivering a major Data Centre development in Queensland.
This is a high-profile, technically complex project requiring an experienced electrical leader with a proven track record of delivering large-scale High Voltage construction projects.
You will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the electrical package, providing strategic leadership across project execution, commercial performance, construction, engineering, commissioning and stakeholder management.

The successful candidate will join a well-established national electrical contractor with extensive experience delivering complex projects across Data Centres, Defence, Health, Infrastructure, Industrial and other mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide overall leadership and direction across the HV electrical delivery of a major Data Centre project
- Take accountability for project performance across safety, quality, programme and commercial outcomes
- Lead and mentor a large multidisciplinary project team, including Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors and site-based personnel
- Manage the delivery of complex High Voltage electrical infrastructure across the project
- Oversee engineering, design coordination, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning
- Drive project planning,



programming and construction methodology
- Manage major subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and client stakeholders
- Maintain strong commercial oversight, including budgets, forecasting, variations, procurement and cost control
- Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining programme certainty
- Work closely with the client, principal contractor and project stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with Australian Standards, project specifications and stringent safety and quality requirements
- Lead the project through to completion, commissioning and handover

About You

We are looking for a proven Electrical Project Director / Project Director / Senior Project Manager with significant experience delivering major electrical construction projects.
To be considered, you must have demonstrable experience delivering large-scale HV construction projects.

You will ideally have:

- Proven experience delivering large-scale High Voltage construction projects
- Extensive experience managing major electrical construction projects from inception through to completion
- Previous experience within Data Centres, Mission Critical, Infrastructure, Defence, Industrial or similarly complex environments




- Demonstrated experience managing significant electrical packages and complex project interfaces
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding
- Proven ability to lead large project teams and multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of HV electrical construction, commissioning and project delivery methodologies
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards, WHS and quality requirements
- Relevant electrical engineering, project management or trade qualifications

Data Centre and mission-critical experience is highly desirable, particularly candidates who have delivered major HV infrastructure, critical power systems and complex commissioning programmes.
