MARKETING MANAGER

IWC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager with strong event management expertise to join our team and help bring our work to life through storytelling, campaigns, communications, events and community engagement.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Marketing Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of IWC’s marketing, communications, campaigns, engagement and community events.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for bringing people, projects and ideas together to ensure marketing activities are well planned, coordinated and delivered to a high standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can think ahead, take ownership, solve problems and confidently manage projects from start to finish. You will work closely with teams across IWC to deliver culturally appropriate marketing and communications that connect with our communities, celebrate culture and raise awareness of IWC’s role in improving health and wellbeing outcomes.

IWC is an Aboriginal community-controlled and multi-accredited health and wellbeing organisation. We deliver services without discrimination to Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Bundaberg and the Wide Bay Burnett.
Through impactful campaigns, communications, events, digital and outreach initiatives, we share community stories, connect people with services, celebrate culture and contribute to closing the gap.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of IWC’s Marketing function and coordinate high-quality delivery.
- Plan and manage integrated marketing campaigns, communications and community engagement activities.
- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of community events, including concept development, logistics, coordination and evaluation.
- Manage marketing workflows, deadlines, priorities and quality across the team.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments, service teams and external partners.
- Oversee the development of clear, engaging and culturally appropriate marketing and communications content.
- Guide and support the Cultural Communications Officer, Digital Marketing Specialist and Graphic Designer.
- Ensure marketing and communications are consistent, accurate and aligned with IWC’s brand and values.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes, delivery and evaluation.
- Build strong relationships across IWC and with community and external stakeholders.
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent project management, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Significant event management experience, including logistics, stakeholder coordination and delivery.
- Ability to lead a team while remaining hands-on and involved in day-to-day delivery.
- Creative,
proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and work collaboratively across different teams.
- Strong understanding of culturally appropriate communication and community engagement.
- Genuine interest in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, wellbeing and community-controlled organisations.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications or a similar role.
- Experience managing the full marketing mix, including internal and external communications.
- Significant experience planning and delivering events.
- Demonstrated project management and team coordination experience.
- Experience developing marketing and communications content across multiple channels.
- Strong understanding of brand management and marketing strategy.
- Experience working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation, community or not-for-profit workplace will be highly regarded.
SALARY PACKAGE:
Your Salary Package is made up of the following:
- Salary Sacrifice Packaging valued up to $15,990 per annum – adding approximately $2,000 to your take-home pay (available after completion of probation).
- Meals and Entertainment Package up to $2,650 per annum (available after completion of probation).
- 9-Day Fortnight (for full-time staff).
- Superannuation valued at 12%.
- Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%.
- 20% discount on IWC Dental Services.
