Metaltex Australia is looking for a motivated Trainee Brake Press Operator to join our team. This opportunity would suit someone who is new to the workforce or looking for a practical new career direction.

Previous brake press experience is not essential. Training and support will be provided.

Learn how to transform flat sheet metal into precise components and three-dimensional shapes using carefully planned bends.

About the Role

Brake press operation is skilled fabrication work that requires accuracy, technical thinking and attention to detail. You will learn to:

- Set up and operate CNC brake press machinery

- Read and interpret engineering drawings

- Select and set up the correct tooling

- Follow planned bending sequences

- Produce components accurately to tight tolerances

- Use measuring equipment to check angles and dimensions

- Complete quality checks during production

- Identify materials and finished components

- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
