Maven Partners is working with a specialist advisory firm seeking to appoint several professionals to its M&A; and Corporate Tax practice.
Specialising in private equity, asset managers, fund managers and superannuation funds, the firm offers exposure to a sophisticated client base and technically challenging work across transactions, investment structures and corporate tax.
This opportunity would suit someone looking to build on their experience within a Big 4, or specialist firm and develop deeper expertise in the investment management sector.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting tax due diligence on acquisitions and disposals
- Advising on transaction structuring and associated tax implications
- Providing corporate tax advice to funds, investment entities and portfolio companies
- Assisting with fund structuring, restructures and ongoing tax matters
- Preparing technical advice that translates complex tax issues into practical commercial recommendations
- Working with senior advisers to support clients throughout the investment lifecycle
About You
- Experience in M&A; tax, corporate tax or financial services tax
- Strong technical, analytical and written communication skills
- An interest in private equity, funds and investment management
- The ability to develop client relationships and manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach and enthusiasm for working within a specialist boutique practice
