About You
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum 6 + years of civil and stormwater design experience within an engineering consultancy, including leading project delivery.
- MIEAust CPEng (or working towards), with DBPA Professional Engineer and Design Practitioner registration highly regarded.
- Strong technical background across subdivisions, roads, pavements, public domain and stormwater infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of WSUD principles, with a solid grasp of hydrologic, hydraulic and flood modelling concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Civil 3D or 12d, plus tools such as DRAINS, XP-RAFTS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS and AutoTURN.
- Proven ability to manage clients and build strong relationships with councils and regulatory authorities.
- A genuine interest in mentoring and developing junior engineers and draftspersons.
- A explicit, confident communicator, both written and verbal.
About the Role
- Lead civil and stormwater projects from concept design through to documentation and project completion.
- Design and manage OSD, WSUD and stormwater management solutions.
- Direct earthworks, road, intersection and car park design.
- Prepare Soil and Water Management Plans and Erosion and Sediment Control Plans.
- Be the face of the business, acting as the key contact for clients, architects and project consultants, and helping win repeat and new work.
- Manage approvals with councils and relevant authorities.
- Oversee project resourcing, budgets and risk, making sure deliverables meet the client brief.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers as the Civil team grows.
- Contribute to business strategy and planning, shaped by your interests and skills.
