Your prospect:

Join our Development Services team and play a key role in helping shape the growth of Southeast Queensland. In this role, you'll assess Water Approval applications and provide technical advice on development enquiries, helping to ensure new developments are supported by safe, reliable and effective water and wastewater networks and services.

You'll apply your engineering knowledge to assess proposed solutions, provide technical recommendations and validate designs in line with legislation, industry standards and Urban Utilities' requirements. You'll also work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve issues, analyse information, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to better ways of working. This is a great opportunity to build your technical capability, gain valuable experience across the development and water industry, and make a tangible contribution to the communities we serve.

About you:

You're an engineer who enjoys solving problems, working with customers and stakeholders, and applying your technical knowledge to deliver practical outcomes. You'll bring a strong analytical mindset, a commitment to quality and a willingness to learn, along with the ability to communicate clearly and build positive working relationships.

You'll also bring:





- A Bachelor of Engineering and relevant engineering experience, ideally within water, wastewater, development or infrastructure.
- The ability to assess technical information, analyse data and make sound recommendations in line with relevant legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to a range of audiences.
- A customer-focused approach, with the ability to investigate issues, resolve problems and deliver positive outcomes.
- A team-oriented one-team mindset, with the ability to build effective relationships and work with internal and external stakeholders.
- A growth mindset and willingness to identify opportunities for improvement, learn new things and contribute to better ways of working.
