The role of Senior Landscape Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the landscape architectural initiatives across the Central Coast. This position is responsible for the development of high-quality landscape designs that reflect community values and environmental sustainability. As a leader in landscape architecture, you will oversee various projects, ensuring they are executed with precision and creativity while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Applicant Profile
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- a degree in Landscape Architecture or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in Landscape Architecture
- a current Class C Drivers Licence
- significant experience preparing high-quality landscape architecture, urban design, public domain and/or open space plans, including the use of 2D and 3D drawings, reports and design documentation for complex projects
- demonstrated experience working on town centre, public domain, open space and/or civic projects that require sound judgement, initiative and practical problem solving to balance technical advice, community needs, site constraints and project objectives
- project management experience, including managing scope of projects, quality, budgets, timeframes, resources, risk, procurement,
consultant briefs and deliverables
- an understanding of NSW planning systems, statutory requirements, relevant Australian standards, technical requirements and contemporary best-practice landscape architecture principles
- the ability to present complex design, technical and strategic planning matters clearly to a range of audiences and stakeholders.
Offer Details
The commencing salary for this position is up to $104k per year. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $121k on completion of assessment of skills and/ or performance plus 12% superannuation
- Quarterly vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week
- We have a temporary full time role for three years available
- This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and adaptable working conditions for this role - 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
