Formway Infrastructure Services Pty Ltd is seeking a C&I; Electricity Meter Technician to join the team!

What you'll be doing?

- Installing smart meters: Carry out C&I; smart meter installations, including Whole Current (WC) and Current Transformer (CT) metering, across residential, commercial and embedded network sites.
- Managing meter exchanges: Handle meter exchanges and rectify communication faults, keeping networks running smoothly and reliably.
- Troubleshooting on the go: Apply basic fault-finding skills to resolve issues efficiently and minimise downtime for clients.
- Delivering across diverse settings: Work across a mix of residential, commercial and embedded network metering projects, bringing variety to each working day.

Who are they looking for?

- A licensed and qualified electrician:



Holding an unrestricted electrical licence and a qualified electrician licence classification, ready to take on specialised metering work.
- A confident driver: Holding a current driver's licence, ready to travel between sites across the Ausgrid network.
- Someone with permanent work rights: Candidates should hold permanent Australian work rights to be eligible for this role.
- A holder of relevant ESI and metering qualifications: Certifications such as UEEEL0078, UETTDRMP011, UETDRMP018, UETTDRM002, HLTAID009, UETDRMP002 and UEERE0001 (or equivalent) are required, ensuring safe and compliant work in the electricity supply industry.
- A clear communicator in English: Strong written and spoken English is essential, as clear communication with clients, team members, and network operators is critical to safe and effective service delivery.
- Someone comfortable with technology: Confidence using computers and digital tools to manage schedules, job details, and reporting.
- An independent and reliable worker: Ability to manage time effectively, work autonomously, and maintain a strong work ethic across a busy schedule.
- A safety-first qualified: A safety-focused approach to all work activities, with a professional attitude toward customers and colleagues alike.




- A metering specialist (highly regarded): Previous C&I; metering experience, along with Smart Meter Installation, Whole Current Metering, or Current Transformer Metering certifications, would be highly valued, though candidates with no prior experience in this specific area are welcomed to apply if they hold the required electrical licensing and qualifications.
